Holistic Concept Of Healing
We treat the Man In The Disease, not the disease in the man.
So whatever the disease may be, we have to see and learn completely about the man who is he, how is he, what are his dreams, fears, stressful incidences, likes, dislikes, thirst, thermals, hobbies, nature, how he looks, how does he talk, his gestures, etc etc.
Ie How is he different from every other person in society?
In this universe, every person is different from another person so In homeopathy we have different remedies for different personalities.
We treat by considering these personalities
LIKE CURES LIKE
For eg- if we are cutting an onion , we get lot of lachrymation from eyes, and watery discharge from nose, burning sensation in eyes , some sneezing.
Now if a Homoepath gets a patient who complaints about getting lot of lachrymation from eyes, and watery discharge from nose, burning sensation in eyes , some sneezing…. He just gives the medicine called Allium cepa (onion) in potentized form (ie in homoeopathic medication form) and all the complaints of patient gets subsided.

This principle has also been mentioned by the ancient Indian poet Kavi-Kalidasa:
​
“Shruyate hi pura loke, vishasya visham aushadham”.

Translated this reads: “it has been said of old time in the world that poison is the remedy for poison.”
The Homoeopathic remedies that are used are tested on healthy human beings (provers) to elicit the symptoms they can produce. The symptoms of each remedy experienced by the provers are recorded in exact detail and they form the Homoeopathic Materia Medica. The symptoms of the patient are then matched with the symptoms of the various remedies in the Materia Medica to find out a single remedy whose symptoms are most similar to those of the patient (like cures like).
